Frequently Asked Questions for things you might like to know about Zaties
Here are a number of frequently asked questions. If your question is not here or if the answer we have here is not sufficient please contact us for more information.
Would you post information about my exhibition?
Yes, but you have to send it to us. We can't smell out information about your exhibition or your art. The most successful artists are pro-active. Be pro-active and send us your exhibition information and we will publish it for free.
Can I give you information in Afrikaans
Verseker man. Ons plaas enige iets in Afrikaans (of enige ander van die 11 amptelike tale). Maar vir die internasionale outjies is dit altyd goed om ook 'n Engelse vertaling te plaas.
Can you provide me contact details for the artist Jane Blog?
Zaties do not provide contact details of artists. If we have contact details for an artist we will forward your request to the artist. It will then be up to the artist to contact you. Zaties will also never publish email adresses on the Zaties sites in order to protect artists from spam.
I am a South African artist, how can I get people to contact me directly?
If you are an artist with a page on Zaties we can set up a system where you can be contacted directly. Zaties can set up a contact form similar to the Zaties contact form for individual artists. A minimal yearly fee will be charged for setting up such a form. A contact form is included in the price of a membership package.
What does it cost to set up a contact form?
It costs R 100 per year to set up and maintain a contact form. Otherwise it is included in the membership package.
I am a South African artist but I'm not listed in the Zaties directory, what do I do?
Zaties can only list you if we know about you. Contact us and tell us about yourself as an artist and we will list you.
I am a South African artist, how do I get myself listed in the Zaties directory?
To get yourself listed you have to provide Zaties with information about yourself and the art you make. Start the process by filling in this form. We will email you instructions for what information to prepare and how to submit it.
What does it cost to get listed on Zaties?
There is no charge to get listed on Zaties. Listing in the alphabetical directory and the basic artist page is free.
What does a basic artist page include?
A basic artist page includes introductory information up to 1 500 words in content on an artist including a biographical background and info on art and exhibitions. It also includes an image of you, the artist, as well as up to three images of artworks.
What if I want more pages?
You can have an unlimited number of pages on Zaties if you sign up for a Zaties membership package.
What does a membership package cost?
A Zaties membership package costs R 600 per year.
What is included in a membership package?
A membership package includes the ability to create an unlimited number of pages on yourself and your art. It also includes a contact form through which people can contact you directly. Lastly, a membership package provides you with preferential treatment in the publishing of press releases and exhibition information on the StudioStage Blog.
What limitations are there on my artist pages?
Zaties retains the right to refuse to publish certain information and to edit information to suit the style and format of Zaties. Zaties will also only perform minimal editing to information unless the content is created by Zaties. The artist will have to take responsibility for the accuracy of information published.
I am a South African artist with my own site, why should I get listed on Zaties?
A listing on Zaties will mean that you are seen with the right people, other artists. It will also extend your profile. Think for yourself, is it better to be written about in one newspaper, or two? Zaties will also exchange links with your website (reciprocate links). This will increase the visibility of your site and the Zaties site. Because your information is listed on Zaties you will win both ways.
