Working towards the most comprehensive SA Art and Artists' directory - Zaties is developing the most comprehensive listing of artists with a connection to South Africa. If your kitchen sink can make art it will be listed here!
This directory includes:
- Current South African artists from full time professionals to committed part timers.
- Artists from other parts of the world that live, work and exhibit in South Africa or that have done so in the past.
- Previous South African artists from the recent to the distant past.
- Artists that were born in South Africa but moved to other parts of the world.
And what do we consider as art and artists?
Here's a list to start of with:
- Art =painting, sculpture, photographs, prints, fibre works, video, animation, ceramics, quilts, collage, assemblage, drawings etc.
- Artist =painters, sculptors, photographers, printmakers, animators, designers, potters, quilters, draughtsmen etc.
